  • High School / Bachelor's Degree
  • TOEFL Score: 79 iBT (at least 17 in “Written test (TWE)”)
  • IELTS Score: 6.0 Bands (At least 5.0 bands in each)

Bachelor Programmes at Jonkoping International Business

All students, both international and Swedish, must fulfill the general admission and specific admission requirements for the programme to which they are applying to be admitted to JIBS. For bachelor studies, the selection is made on high school / upper secondary school results. A high school diploma is required which entitles the student to university.

Master Programmes at Jonkoping International Business School

If an applicant will graduate sometime in spring / summer 2011 the home university must send a certificate indicating that it is expected that the student will graduate in the spring / summer 2011

Economics, Trade and Policy (1 – and 2-years)

A Bachelors degree (i.e the equivalent of 180 ECTS credit from a recognized university) with at least 60 ECTS credits in economics, financial economics or equivalent. Furthermore, a minimum of 15 ECTS in statistics / econometrics is required.

International Financial Analysis (1year)

A Bachelors degree (i.e the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits from a recognized university) with at least 60 ECTS credits in business administration, economics or finance. Furthermore, a minimum of 15 ECTS in statistics / econometrics is required

International Logistics and Supply Chain Management (1 – and 2-year)

A Bachelors degree (i.e the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits from a recognized university)

With at least 60 credits in business Administration, Economics, Logistics or Industrial Engineering and Management

Managing in a Global Context (1- and 2-years)

A Bachelors degree (i.e the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits from a recognized university)

With at least 60 credits in informatics, business administration, computer science, computer engineering, information engineering.

Strategic Entrepreneurship (1 – and *-year)

A Bachelors degree (i.e the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits from a recognized university)

With at least 6- credits in Business Administration, Economics. Or Industrial Engineering and Management

International Marketing (1-year)

A Bachelors degree (i.e the equivalent of 18 ECTS credits from a recognized university) with at least 60 credits in business Administration, Economics. Or Industrial Engineering and Management

Master Programmes (2-year) at school of Engineering

A Bachelors of Science (90 ECTS) in the major subjects in: Computer/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering from a recognized university (see the specific programme for more information).

The Bachelor’s Degree should comprise a minimum of 15-30 ECTS in Mathematics (see the specific programme for more information).

Master’s programme in Informatics with a specialization in Information Engineering and Management.

Master’s programme in production systems with a specialization in production Development and Management.

Part-time work during studies

Students may work in Sweden without a work permit for the period of the student visa.

Accommodation

The university guarantees accommodation to international students who have been accepted. Rent can range approximately from 1800 t0 3000 SEK per month depending on location, size, furniture, etc. The rent usually includes electricity, heating, and water.

Cost of living

Though most students live on a tight budget, there are ways of making your money go further.

You can use your student card for discounts and on-campus restaurants and good value. You can also cook your own food; most students accommodations have some form of kitchenfacility open to residents.
